Does chiropractic care hurt?
Sometimes at first you may feel soreness like starting a work-out program at the gym, but most patients find our care to be quite pleasant and look forward to coming to their appointments.
Is it expensive?
Studies show that chiropractic care is ½ the cost and takes ½ the time to get people back to work over traditional medicine. Chiropractic offers much more than just relief of symptoms.
Is it safe?
Chiropractic is exceptionally safe. Despite some claims that it can be dangerous in certain circumstances, the reality is that it is safer than taking an aspirin or any drug. Chiropractors even have the lowest malpractice rates to prove it of any practitioners!
Do I need a referral from my medical doctor?
No. Chiropractors are doctors and are primary care specialists when it comes to spinal health. We work with many medical providers and welcome their referrals to us. Likewise, should the need arise, we refer some patients to other types of specialists.
How long will it take to complete treatment?
The length of care depends on the severity of your health problem and how long you have lived with it as chronic problems generally heal somewhat slower than new ones. Our doctors will only report what is absolutely necessary for you to heal fully at your report of findings.
Do you have to be a certain age to start care?
No. Spinal injury or damage from repetition or poor posture is not limited to a certain age. People of all ages benefit from chiropractic care from the youngest infant to the most elderly. Of course, care is customized according to your age.
Can you get adjusted after back surgery or chronic illness?
Yes. However, some surgeries cause permanent changes that cannot be improved through chiropractic care. However, it is always important to assure that all other areas of the spine are cared for properly that have not been surgically altered to avoid additional surgeries and spreading damage.
What will I learn from my initial examination?
